These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the developer of Bible Quiz (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using the Bible Quiz app (“the app”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. By using the app you confirm you meet that requirement and that you are able to enter into this agreement.
The app is for personal, non-commercial use.
You need an account to play. You may sign in with an email address and password, with Google, or with Apple.
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Security → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.
When using the app, you agree not to:
Choose a display name that follows the same standards — it is shown publicly on the leaderboard and on your comments.
The app uses points, a virtual item with no real-world value. Points may be earned by answering questions correctly and, where offered, by choosing to watch a rewarded ad. Some quizzes require points to enter.
Points are not money, are not your property, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, cashed out or redeemed for anything of value. They have no value outside the app.
We may adjust how points are earned or spent, correct balances affected by errors or cheating, and remove points obtained in breach of these Terms. If your account is deleted or terminated, any remaining points are forfeited without compensation.
The app does not currently sell points or offer any paid features. If we ever introduce paid items, we will update these Terms first.
The app is free and is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. By using the app you accept that ads will be shown, including banner ads, full-screen ads between activities, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch.
We do not control which specific ads are served and are not responsible for the content of ads or for anything you buy from an advertiser. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them. How advertising data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting a comment or reply, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute it within the app, for as long as you keep it posted and for a reasonable period afterwards in backups.
You confirm that you have the right to post what you post and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
Comments are public to other users, together with your display name and avatar. We may remove any content, or restrict any account, that breaches §4 — but we do not pre-screen comments and are not obliged to monitor them. If you see something that breaks these rules, please report it to us at the address in §17.
Quiz questions, answers and explanations cite Scripture in public-domain English translations — principally the King James Version (KJV) and the World English Bible (WEB). Where wording is archaic, a plain-English rendering is shown in brackets to aid understanding; those bracketed glosses are explanatory aids written by us, not part of the biblical text.
Questions are reviewed for accuracy against the source text, but the app is an educational and recreational quiz, not a work of doctrine, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any church, denomination or religious body. Nothing in the app is theological, pastoral, legal, medical or financial advice. If you believe a question or citation is wrong, please tell us — we will check it and correct it.
The app includes simple games that load inside the app from our own server. They are provided for entertainment, may change or be removed at any time, and are covered by these Terms and our Privacy Policy in the same way as the rest of the app.
The app, its design, its code, its artwork and the wording of its questions and explanations are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. The biblical text itself is in the public domain in the translations we use.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, distribute or create derivative works from the app or its content without our written permission.
You may stop using the app at any time, and may delete your account from within the app.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms — in particular by cheating, abusing other users, or generating invalid ad activity. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
We may also stop offering the app, in whole or in part, at any time.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that content will be free from mistakes.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you have under the law of your country that cannot lawfully be limited.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or points, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the app — whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damage.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the app or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim, which for a free app is zero, or (b) USD 50.
Again, nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
The following applies if you obtained the app from the Apple App Store:
We may update these Terms as the app develops. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
To be completed before publishing: these Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY / STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of [YOUR CITY / COUNTRY] will have jurisdiction — except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, which these Terms do not remove.
